Courageous Creativity Online eZine Article
Our founder Scott Sowle was recently interviewed and published by Courageous Creativity eZine writer Sangeeta Naidu.
Having a vision while homeless in Salt Lake City, Scott has since been feverishly working to develop the non-profit Redeeming Soles to help provide a means of proper footwear to all organizations and individuals domestically in the US.
You can gain a brief glimpse at what Redeeming Soles and Scott are trying to accomplish through this wonderful article starting on page 26 of the Courageous Creativity January 2011 issue.
Seattle Times Coverage of Founder Scott Sowle
The first media coverage comes at an early stage of the non-profit development, but couldn’t be better timing. The Seattle Times ran a small article about collecting shoes at the 5th Ave and Pike location and the results have shown.
Today early in the morning after the Seattle Times ran the article many people congratulated us on the efforts that are being achieved through Redeeming Soles. The shoe donations saw an increase with nearly 100 pairs being donated and a few still new in their boxes. We are gearing up for a larger donation morning tomorrow and hope that we actually experience an overabundance of shoes that will help out many of Seattle’s organizations during the holidays.
It was nice to see that they emphasized the need for men and children shoes as we saw an increase in both. We are still asking for new socks for donations so if you have no shoes please drop a few socks by the shoe donation bike trailer location at 5th and Pike between the hours of 7:30am and 9:30am Monday through Friday until the end of 2010.
Thanks to all who have donated!!
